Flew to New Delhi, then took a short domestic flight before arriving in Leh, India with Royal Enfield.
Couldn't wipe that excited smile off my face when all I see is endless mountains around me despite the fact that.. I'm hit with AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness).
Because of the immediate ascend from zero to over 3,300m in altitude, my heart is racing, head is pounding, slight nauseousness and breathing difficulty due to low oxygen level here. Never felt like this before and I pray that I will get acclimatized real soon 😔
A short ride through the valleys took us to Sangam Point where a spectacular sight of two diverse rivers Indus and Zanskar meet.
And next, we will ascend directly to over 18,300ft where we'll be scaling the highest motorable road in the world - #Khardungla.
It's going to be a battle of bumpy off-road on a narrow two way traffic path by the cliff with no metal railings and not forgetting a severe dip in oxygen level.
